It is said that only one of three visitors to Denali NP sees "the mountain" -- Mt McKinley. We had superb weather, and we saw it on four of the five days we were in the area. We camped along the Denali Highway one night, then three nights at Teklanika campground 30 miles inside the park.
We did some hiking, but we saw the most animals from the park bus. We were surprised at how few people were out hiking. On one bus trip back from Eilson visitor center to Teklanika campground, the driver spent the entire trip trying to get people to get off and hike.
