After you leave Washington Landing, you ride the North Shore trail westward. This summer, stadium construction interrupts the trail, but eventually it will go beyond the West End bridge, probably to the county line.
The ride down the North
Shore trail offers many views of town. This one is from
the condos just east of the new Alcoa Building.
The North Shore Trail is
currently interrupted at the PNC Baseball Park.
When we're through building stadia, it will continue along the
north shore of the Ohio River past
the Science Center and the West End Bridge, perhaps as far as the
county line
If the North Shore Trail
were not interrupted by construction of the football stadium,
you could ride straight through to the Carnegie Science Center
and the submarine USS Requin.
Currently, though, you must detour around the stadium to see this
view.
